The Museum
SVMoA's Museum and Box Office are located in Ketchum at the corner of Washington Avenue and Fifth Street, one block west of Main Street.
Admission to the museum is always FREE!
- How often do you offer a new exhibitition?
Sun Valley Museum of Art is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. Just 5% of all museums in the US (including four other museums in Idaho) earn AAM accreditation. We are able to change our space four to five times a year and offer new art exhibitions by nationally and internationally-known artists.
- Do you offer guided tours?
Yes, we offer FREE guided evening tours led by SVMoA's curatorial staff during an informal and informative tour of our visual arts exhibitions...and enjoy a glass of wine before you join in the conversation.

- Do you offer Student Exhibition Tours?
Yes, SVMoA offers interactive exhibition tours for students of all ages. Visit our Student Exhibition Tour page for more information and/or complete our school tour request form.
- Do you offer Group Tours?
Yes, we are happy to schedule private tours for individuals, families or groups. Please contact us for more details at 208.726.9491.
- Can I come in-between tours and visit?
Of course. SVMoA is open Tuesday–Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm (closed on Sundays and Mondays). We welcome visitors of all ages and encourage you to explore the art on your own time.
- Can I bring food and drink in the Museum?
No, food or drink is not allowed in the Museum, but there are plenty of options nearby and within walking distance. For more information on local dining establishments, please visit visitsunvalley.com.
- Can I photograph or record any of the exhibits?
Yes, SVMoA allows you to take photos and video of our exhibits. On occasion, there will be an exception, but we will notify you of the change.

- Is the art available for purchase?
Yes, on occasion art is available for purchase. Please inquire at the front desk for details if interested.
- What is Gallery Walk?
SVMoA is associated with member galleries of the Sun Valley Gallery Association and participated in the scheduled Gallery Walks. The Museum will remain open for visitors from 5–7pm on Gallery Walk evenings.
Gallery Walk provides visitors and local residents the opportunity to view new exhibitions of painting, photography, glass, sculpture, video and installation art throughout the city of Ketchum. The walks are free and a great way to explore town.

- Can I or my children touch the art?
No. Please talk with your children about the importance of not touching and keeping a safe distance from the artwork. Leaning on cases, pedestals and walls is not safe or allowed.
- Do you offer anything else to enhance the experience?
Yes, feel free to pick up an Exhibition Activity Guide (available at the Museum front desk) to guide you through the exhibition.
- Is there a space for art activities for families?
The Ketchum classroom/studio provides opportunities for adults and children to connect to art and experiment with self-guided art activities and art supplies through hands-on experiences and play.

Hailey House & Classroom
The Hailey House is open to visitors by appointment and during scheduled events. The Hailey Classroom is open for adult, teen and youth classes and workshops during scheduled programs.

Located 2 blocks east of Main Street in downtown Hailey between Pine Street and Walnut Street.
The historic Hailey House is open to visitors by appointment and during scheduled events. The upstairs is frequently used to house visiting actors, artists and musicians.
- What type of classes held at the Hailey Classroom?
SVMoA programs a variety of workshops and classes for all ages throughout the year at the Hailey Classroom. Some are a few hours in the evening on a single night; some may be a week-long workshop. Categories in all artistic mediums for Adults, Teens, Youth, and Families. Be sure to check our events calendar for all upcoming classes and workshops.
- Is there parking at the Hailey House & Classroom?
Yes, there are designated free off-street parking spaces in front of the building.

The Ketchum Box Office is located at the front desk at the Museum.
Costs for SVMoA programs will vary depending on the event from FREE to a range of ticketed prices. SVMoA members receive discounts on most ticketed events.
- How do I pick up my tickets?
SVMoA now uses only e-tickets for our events. Please have your bar codes, “Barcoded ETicket," pulled up on your phone (or a printed copy of each ticket) and ready to be scanned at the door.
Should you prefer to pick up a physical copy of your tickets, please come by during SVMoA's public hours of operation (Tue–Fri, 10am–5pm, Sats, 11am–4pm, closed Sun and Mon).
- How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can purchased at any time, 24/7, via our online box office. Patrons are always welcome to call us at 208-726-9491 of come see us at the Box Office to purchase tickets directly. We are happy to help!
- What are SVMoA membership rates?
Sun Valley Museum of Art is a membership organization. SVMoA members receive discounted pricing on programs including play, lectures, concerts, classes and more.

- What events does SVMoA host outside the Museum?
We host a variety of events from concerts, to featured speakers, film screenings, and classes and workshops at other facilities in Sun Valley, Ketchum and Hailey. Be sure to check out the location details for each event offered.
- What happens if the event sells out?
If an event sells out we will create a wait list. Please contact us at 208-726-9491 for more details.
- What time should I arrive?
Typically doors open thirty minutes before showtime.
- Can I get a refund or exchange for my tickets if I can’t make it to the show?
All event tickets offered through the Museum are neither exchangeable nor refundable. If you cannot use your tickets, you may give them to a friend or return them to SVMoA prior to the show for a tax-deductible contribution equal to the price you paid for the tickets (excluding ticketing fees, which are not tax-deductible). - What if the show is cancelled or postponed?
For reasons beyond our control (e.g., weather, artist scheduling, illness), shows may be canceled or postponed. If this occurs, we will contact ticket holders via email and post announcements on our website and Facebook page to alert patrons of any changes and the solution. - Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed at any of SVMoA's events. The Museum does allow service animals. Please contact the Box Office at 208.726.9491 for more information.
- Can I take photos or record the event?
No, SVMoA does not allow any recording of musicians or performers at any events. By purchasing a ticket to one of our events, you agree to our Terms & Conditions, which includes a Photo Participation & Waiver Release.
Professional photographers must contact SVMoA in advance to receive permission to take photos at our concerts.
- Behavioral Expectations & Guidelines
Be mindful of all guests attending—we ask that you do not bring outside alcohol. Respect your fellow guests by not smoking or talking during performances. We do not permit cell phone use. No weapons are allowed in any of our venues.
Patrons who are disruptive, disrespectful or inebriated before, during or after a performance will be asked to leave the venue and will not receive a refund.

- Do I need a ticket for my child?
We do not allow babes in arms for events, and children who do attend must have their own purchased seat.
