Come and learn Mexican folk dance while you have fun, move your body, and learn more about the culture of Mexico. Dance instructor Dirce Flores will lead the classes in both Spanish and English.
This workshop takes place every Tuesday from March 4th-May 27th (except for March 25th). 12 sessions in total.
Age & ability: 10–16 years old; students of all levels welcome.
About the Instructor
Dirce Flores is a professional dancer from Mexico. In 1995, at the age of 10, she was cast in a local TV show and later returned to the study of folkloric and other forms of dance. She performed in the best theaters in Oaxaca, began teaching Mexican folk dance classes at age 17, and was part of a ballet company until she was 20. She enjoys sharing her love of dance with the Wood River Valley, where she has lived since 2008.
