Join SVMoA staff member Angela Neiwert for clay workshop. Build a sculpture by throwing on a wheel, hand building using pitch, slab or coil methods, or a combination of the two. Fire the sculpture at Angela’s studio in Bellevue with her Raku kiln on Sat. Sept. 26th.
No experience with clay necessary, 14+ All levels welcome.

About the Instructor
Angela Neiwert is the SVMoA Museum Educator and a practicing ceramic artist. Clay is her primary medium and she has been obsessed with this wonderful material of the Earth since 1991. She loves the process of transforming the clay into hand-coiled and slab sculpture as well as making pots to enhance the domestic world and transform the dining experience. Her sculptures often contain multiple segments that require an installation experience. The versatility of clay and it’s endless possibilities continually challenge her as an artist.
