TEEN WORKSHOP: Matisse Today with Benjamin Hunt

TEEN WORKSHOP: Matisse Today

with Benjamin Hunt

Tuesday, July 16, 2024 - 1:00 PM

Learn how Henri Matisse used paper collages and color to make compositions with nonrepresentational and organic forms, and create your own Matisse-inspired artwork.  Add brush strokes and squeeze tubes of paint onto paper, making color gradations. On the back of the paper, draw and cut out forms and shapes  to make collages of your own interpretation. This class will be suitable for all ages.

Age & Ability: 12–18; no experience necessary; beginners welcome!

This workshop takes place from 1–3pm at the Hailey Classroom.
