Intaglio vs. Monoprinting

Printmaking with Caty Kendall

Explore the difference between intaglio printing and monoprinting in this 4-hour printmaking intensive. Create unique images as well as etch a plate that can be used to make print editions. Artist Caty Kendall will be your guide through the two different processes and use of the printmaking press. Learn how to use these printmaking techniques to continue making more prints at home.

All materials will be provided as part of the workshop fee. Participants are encouraged to bring their own images to use as sources of inspiration.


Class will take place from 12am-4pm at the Hailey Classroom. 
16+, All Levels, Beginners Welcome

About the Artist

Caty Kendall has an MFA from Pratt Institute and has been teaching multiple ages for more than twenty years. Her work has been presented in multiple galleries on the East Coast and is in the permanent printmaking collections of the New York Public Library and the University of Georgia. Over the past year, Caty has been helping guide students in the Open Studio: Printmaking sessions held six times a year.
