Adult Classes, Youth & Families

SPECIAL EVENT—"Undomesticated" Film Screening & Art Activity

with Artist Ana Maria Hernando

Saturday, June 12, 2021 - 10:00 AM

Join artist Ana Maria Hernando for a screening of Undomesticated, a 30-minute documentary about the artist. Born in Argentina and based in Denver, Hernando makes artwork that often involves collaborative partners, including cloistered nuns in Buenos Aires and women who live in the Peruvian Andes. Hernando will introduce and answer questions about the gorgeous film, which features footage of her working in her studio, installing an exhibition, and traveling in the highland Andes, in Spanish and in English. Immediately following the film, Hernando will lead the audience in a short bilingual art activity in response to prompts about our memories of flowers.

Participants of all ages welcome; SVMoA staff will provide outdoor activities for children during the film screening.

"Undomesticated" was produced by Amie Knox and Chad Herschberger, A Bar K Productions.
