CRAFT SERIES WORKSHOP: Build a Ceramic Transformation Vessel

with Bob Dix

Thursday, June 3, 2021 - 5:30 PM

Ancient cultures have long recognized fire as a transformative force. To this day, fire rituals still have meaning as attempts to rid ourselves of unproductive patterns and obstacles in our lives, opportunities to express gratitude, and acts of healing, celebration or purification. In this class, we will hand-build ceramic containers as part of a transformation ritual, through which we will express our hope for the future.

Participants will spend the first evening building a clay vessel using coil, slab or pinch construction; on the second evening, they will glaze their vessels.

For students 21 and older, beginners welcome!

This two-session workshop takes place Thu, Jun 3 & 17, from 5:30–8:30pm.
