ARTIST TALK with Rebecca Campbell

Jueves, Octubre 28, 2021 - 5:30 PM

Join artist Rebecca Campbell for a conversation about the paintings, sculptures and installations that are part of Two-Year Supply. Campbell will discuss her project The Potato Eaters within the context of her family’s history in Rupert, Idaho, where both her parents grew up on potato farms. She took the title for The Potato Eaters from the Vincent Van Gogh painting of the same name, and drew inspiration for the artworks in it from family photographs and stories, her own travels throughout southern Idaho, and an interest in engaging in dialogue with the work of 20th-century artists such as Donald Judd and Robert Smithson. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Campbell is now based in Los Angeles, and is represented by L.A. Louver.
