Hardy Kaslo Grant
The Hardy Kaslo Grant invites Blaine County high school students to reflect on the role of art in their lives through a short essay or video response to a creative prompt. Designed to spark curiosity and personal connection to art, this scholarship supports students in pursuing their interest in art in any form—whether through classes, travel, supplies, apprenticeships, independent study, or other creative experiences. The goal is not only to fund artistic growth, but to encourage students to think deeply about why art matters and how it shapes their lives.
Creative Expression Competition: "That Time I Knew I Belonged"
The Alliance of Idaho and Sun Valley Museum of Art invite Blaine County high school juniors and seniors to share personal, autobiographical stories exploring moments of belonging—or times when it felt just out of reach. Students may respond to the prompt: “That time I knew I belonged…” through writing, visual art, or video. Submissions may be in English or Spanish, and students who may be the first in their family to attend college are especially encouraged to participate. Submission will be judged on originality, creativity, and emotional resonance.
