TEEN WORKSHOP: Stories from the Pandemic: Monologue Writing & Presentation

with COF artist Matt Musgrove (for students in grades 6–12)

Friday, November 6, 2020 - 1:00 PM

Explore how to share a story or memory through the art of monologue. Create a dynamic monologue that depicts life during the Coronavirus pandemic and perform it for your family and friends on the stage at the Liberty Theatre.

In the first session, students will craft descriptive and artful 90-second monologues that relate a story of life during the Coronavirus pandemic—the good, bad, and in-between. Writing exercises will inspire students while one-on-one time with Company of Fools artist Matt Musgrove will refine the written piece. The second session will focus on skills necessary to perform a monologue. Students will practice for a culminating performance for family members on the stage of the Liberty Theatre.

This is a two-day workshop that takes place on Fri, Nov 6 & 13, 1–4pm at Liberty Theatre, Hailey.

Please bring the following:

  • A clean face covering, a snack and a notebook and pencil.
