Prior to joining the team at SVMoA, Alison was a high school English, humanities, and art history teacher and librarian in face-to-face classrooms in McCall as well as online. She earned an MA in Art History from the University of Denver, a BA in English Teaching from Boise State University, and a BA in Art History and German Studies from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. She also served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine and spent several years attending school in Germany where she first fell in love with art and museums. She is thrilled to be able to combine a teaching background with a passion for art in her role as a Museum Educator.
