Rory loves museums. She received her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from Columbia University, where she took courses in world cinema, literature, art, religion, and archaeology. She interned in the Egyptian Art department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for eight months following graduation, studying early twentieth-century excavation records to rework the Third Intermediate Period coffin galleries. Rory was inspired to journey to London where she received her Master of Arts in the Archaeology & Heritage of Egypt & the Middle East from the Institute of Archaeology at University College London. After performing curatorial work with an ancient near eastern collection in southern California, Rory is delighted to return to the valley to join SVMoA in creating a place for community creativity and curiosity.
