Does your artwork\nhav e something to say? This week long\, full-day art camp gives 3rd through\n 5th grade students the opportunity to develop artistic skills\, engage wit h\npeers and the community\, and make original artwork. The camp includes field\ntrips where participants will look at art in a gallery setting and meet\nlocal artists. Using a variety of 2D and 3D processes\, campers will spend\nthe week expressing stories they want to share through their art\, \ndeveloping their own style in the process. The Center’s teaching artis t\,\nDanica Robrahn and visiting art teacher\, Jennifer Marquez are excite d to\nget creative with young artists this summer!

Danica Robrahn a ttended\nOrange Coast College and transferred to California State Universi ty\, Long\nBeach where she graduated with a BA in Art Education and a Sing le Subject\nCredential to teach art. After falling in love with the fiber department\,\nshe earned a BFA in 3D Mixed Media Fiber and decided to move back home to\nIdaho. She has been The Center’s Teaching Assistant for t he past 3\nyears.

Jennifer Marquez is a California high school art teacher. She\nreceived two degrees from California State University\, Long Beach\, one a BA\nin Art Education and the other a BFA in 3D Mixed Media Fiber where she met\nand became friends with Danica Robrahn. She is curren tly employed with\nAlliance College-Ready Public Schools. She was recogniz ed as the California\nArt Education Association's Rookie of the Year in 20 15.

This class\nis held Monday-Friday\, 9am-4pm at The Center\, Hai ley.
