This five-day\nfine ar t workshop features David Dunlop\, Emmy award-winning writer of the\nPBS t elevision series Landscapes through Time. Learn how to paint\nlandscapes u sing a comprehensive combination of traditional and modern\ntechniques. Pa rticipants will concentrate on the origins and evolution of\nlandscape pai nting by studying color\, water and skies. Daily demonstrations\nand indiv idually tailored instruction will help each student realize his or\nher pe rsonal painting ambitions. Half of the class time will be spent in\nthe st udio and the other half will be plein air. Evening photo walks will\nalso be a part of the class. Students are welcome to paint in oil\,\nwatercolor or acrylics. Students are responsible for proving their own\nsupplies.

David Dunlop is a modern-day old master whose luminous\npaintings dra w from both Renaissance techniques and contemporary science. \nHis painti ngs have been shown internationally and are held in the\ncollections of ma jor corporations including Aetna Insurance\, Citibank\,\nDelta Airlines\, GE Capital Corporation\, IBM\, Mobil and more. David is also\nthe engaging host and writer of the 13-show national PBS television series\,\n“Lands capes through Time with David Dunlop\,” for which he won an Emmy\nand a CINE Golden Eagle Award in 2009.

An\nexhibition in the gallery at The Center\, Ketchum\, features artwork ranging\nfrom paintings\, drawings and photographs to video\, sound work a nd\ndaguerreotypes\, all created in response to Craters of the Moon.\nAddi tionally\, large-scale sculptures by John Grade and Jason Middlebrook\nare installed at Craters of Moon throughout summer 2016.
